(May 28, 2023, 12:44 pm)This park is BREATHTAKING!!! We rented the pavilion and enjoyed the views. We started before noon and left a little after 8pm. At 78 degrees, there was a nice consistent breeze. Plenty of trees around too! Dog friendly also. We celebrated my nephew becoming a doctor and it was pretty much secluded with the exception of a few people walking through. Everyone pretty much said they had a great time and would return. I used to live in Delaware, it gave me "move back" vibes. 💯
The port-a-potties were decent when we got there, however after being there so long, they became messy towards the evening. The park itself gets 5 ✨ -

(April 10, 2023, 7:49 pm)The park is huge, trails are marked. There is a user fee for the park, I would recommend buying the pass which covers all state park parking and entrance fees. We went there for a kite festival It was a good event. Lots of kite lovers were there with kids. Loved it.

(February 16, 2023, 11:01 am)Tranquil & beautiful. The paved and unpaved paths offer a variety of different walking/hiking/biking/ running experiences. The beautiful Brandywine River is always glistening in the sun. I love this place.

(September 9, 2022, 8:33 am)I really like to walk so going to that park is very comfortable, it's huge and beautiful. it has a garden where I always take photos when I go. I think that after 5pm it is better to leave the park, the last time I went there were suspicious people who were not to be trusted

I haven’t been here in nearly 10 years, and I’m so glad that it looks the exact same as I remembered. Still clean, well maintained, and not overly crowded. It’s a massive park, but it feels like you have the entire park to yourself since there is so much nature to consume and take in.
