Beautiful beach! I saw a bunch of dolphins and it was nice to be able to bring my friend's dog with us. Only downside is that the only restrooms are portable toilets and there's no trash cans.

Me and my family love coming here regularly but I wish there wasn't so much poison ivy along the trails edge.

I've been going here for a few years now to bring my dog to the beach but even without him I go here to avoid the crowds of the public beach. During peak vacation times, make sure to come super early because the parking lot will fill up. The beach is just nicer in almost every possible way. There's no crowds, there seems to be more shells, the sand feels better, there's less trash, etc. There is a small hill to walk over which can suck when you have a lot of stuff or you're disabled. There are Porta potties, and there are places to rent a cabana, umbrella, and chairs. The vendor even has some food to sell. However, from what I have seen so far there is no wheelchair accessibility. It isn't the best place for someone who is disabled from what I've experienced with my mother going.
You do have to pay to go there but I think it's totally worth it to get to a better beach and support a state park.
And, yes, you can bring your dog! Just make sure they're on a leash and you cleanup after them. The park provides plastic baggies in front of beach entrances.

Surprisingly pretty beach w/out all the people. It’s a few bucks to get in and theres a bunch of trails further inland then the beach that have small boardwalks and nice views for biking, running, walking, etc...

Great beach at a state park where you can bring your dog! Clean, not crowded, ample parking right next to the beach, and not overly commercialized (not commercialized at all, actually). Highly recommended!
