  After I told them I was allergic to eggs they became over concerned and insistent that bread (normal white bread) had eggs in it. Annoying but better than not being concerned enough. Fast service despite being busy.

  A lovely gem of a place! Delicious food in a cozy elegant environment. I've been several times and have never been anything other than terrifically pleased! I try to go wherever I'm in DC.

  A bit overpriced, food was good, service is excellent. I got something I didn't particularly like, but they gave me a free appetizer to make up for it. What I got was the crab sandwich. There was nothing wrong with it, I just didn't like the taste. The tartar was awesome, the appetizers were great (pictured), and as I said before, service is was excellent.

  Splendid restaurant! Menu is great, beer and wine selection was excellent as well. Cocktails were a dream and the service was awesome. We had a great night.

  Great food, I happened to be there during Restaurant Week so my experience was not the typical one. Also being a single diner I choose to eat at the bar which worked out well and had a great experience (with one exception)
  
  I ordered a bucket of muscles (Green & Garlic) and it was excellent, tho I had imagined a different presentation (in this case the Spinach was finely chopped and was more of a green slime on the muscles. I'm planning on the Garlic and Cream for my next visit.
  
  I also got the heirloom tomato salad and dessert both of which were quite nice but were not ones I'd choose again but that's my personal tastes. I'd had an heirloom tomato salad a few weeks back up the road and it was superior.
  
  I'd go back (and plan to next month) with some knowledge to improve my experience. The biggest one is remember to ask for bread with your meal. The muscle liquor in the bottom of the pot is always the star in my opinion of a great bucket of muscles and it's like bringing dessert without utensils, muscles need a good load of bread.
  
  My only complaint was around beer selection, I'd asked for advice between two. A third choice was presented but it turned out it was 6 bucks more than my other choices sadly no mention of price difference was part of that conversation. Looking at my bill at the end of the evening was miffed at the result. I'm not sure that glass was worth $15. I understand up-sell and I'd expect most diners would reflect that annoyance in the tip (which I did not)
