After having a hard time finding non-emergency phone numbers for the nearby fire station, was advised to call 911 and immediately tell the 911 operator that we needed only a non-emergency "lift and assist".

As soon as the phone call was done the fireman were here within five minutes to help out 89 year old mom, who fell down and needed a hand back up onto the couch and checked out to make sure she didn't need to go to the hospital. With covid-19 very much front and center at hospitals we absolutely prefer not to go to the hospital if we don't absolutely need to. And we have always been like that even before covid-19 where hospitals are for true emergencies. Mom is not and was not in much pain which is a pretty good indicator that nothing serious is going on but one can never be one hundred percent sure about anything. So we decided to make the best choice (all things considered) and let Mom rest and see how she does in the coming hours and days.

These firemen were extremely professional and courteous. "Very courteous" my roommate added in, in agreement! Rob also correctly pointed out that they were also very very knowledgeable and we had a good discussion about the available options. Their communication on the matter was also extremely reasonable and professional.

100% satisfied with the experience in a stressful situation no less. And we are feeling incredibly grateful!

Bless these consummate professionals (who do this every day year after year when we regular people only deal with this kind of situation on rareoccasion). Job super well done!
