  A fantastic find in the most unlikely of places...
  
  I told one of the owners that this place came highly recommended by physical therapists I have been seeing - highly recommended. So after one day's wait (as this place is closed on Mondays) my wife and I gave it a shot. And what a shot it was.
  
  The first thing you have to understand is that this place is no-frills. The plates are takeout boxes, the utensils are plastic, and the decor and seating reminds you of a homey, yet divy kinda place. But with the food they are serving - truly, who cares? You order the food in a cafeteria style fashion but the food is far from cafeteria fare or quality - in fact, it's Puerto Rican and it is *good*.
  
  They serve all the common offerings of pork, chicken, and rice, and they also have special offerings depending on the day. This evening my wife had their cubed steak whereas I could not pass up their pulled pork. The Spanish rice, beans, and two sides rounds up their "large" combo - where my wife chose their macaroni salad to go with sweet plantains and I had the same plantains to go with sauteed vegetables. I can tell you, as a Hispanic male who has eaten just about what any Hispanic country has to offer - this was truly a home cooked meal. I even told one of the owners it felt and tasted as if I was eating at someone's home. It's not always you get the sense of really eating "home cooked" but this was about as close to it, eating out, I have ever experienced.
  
  The owner was super friendly and chatted with us, and was really personable too. That just added to the enjoyable experience we had.
  
  There was so much more to have tried that they offered - a Puerto Rican "lasagna", empanadas, fricase, and so on. All of it very reasonably priced - cheaper than a few burgers at those big box joints. I can tell you I will probably be back several times before this year is up.

  Amazing pulled pork, yuka, and rice. The owner is extremely personable to all of her customers and makes us all feel welcome. My mother and I look forward to going here more than any other restaurant. The atmosphere makes me nostalgic of my hometown in Massachusettes.

  First time here. Simple but great PR food!
  Boiled yuka, a lovely chicken and veggies with rice and beans, their version of lasagna made w/ plantane. I went with a friend. If you have not tried PR cooking it is Not spicy but full of flavor!! I'll be back!!

  Cafeteria style. So good. Saturday is mufongo day and the day you need to stop by. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and the staff is patient and sweet. Hoping to make this a weekly spot. You should too. #shoplocal

  If I could give more stars I would. I come here at least once a week. It is the only place in the whole county that I go out of my way for. The food is outstanding. Good variety, good prices, great service. You can't go wrong by stopping in.
