  I didn't expect a lot out of this trail, but it really blew my mind. This to me is what I want in a hiking trail. It isn't super pristine/constantly maintained, and out of the way enough where I saw a ton of wildlife. I saw a water banded snake, a massive turtle, birds (red shouldered hawks among others), and the coolest part was the deer coming out in the evening. I saw 4! I have never gotten to see deer as close as I did here! Unfortunately the trail is getting dug up by the local jerk boars, and I'm glad I didn't see any of those as they can be aggressive.
  
  I had to wade through the muck and water at one point that got up to my thigh and then the trail abruptly ended. It was just before sunset and I did panic a little as I wound up having to turn back and haul butt back. I got a bit lost and panicky and had to walk along the main road back and got eaten by mosquitos but hey I'm alive and I won't underestimate this place again.

  It's a very beautiful place and just what my wife and I were looking for. It's a fairly large area with a hiking trail in the woods. We love hiking among trees, it's relaxing and just beautiful. Anyway the issue I have with this area (Melbourne/ Palm Bay) is yes there are a lot of parks (sanctuaries) but they are small. Very very beautiful, just little. But Micco is big with tons of trees. This is going to be a place where my wife and I will come to many times.

  Went here for trail riding after we've gotten rain the past few nights. Parking area is nice and large, roomy enough for a few trailers. There is a mounting block at the parking area. Water well is about 1/2 mile in with a mounting block and hitching post. Many spots were muddy/swampy and a couple of the trail marker posts were on the ground. Trail was mostly shady which was nice.

  What a beautiful spot. The trail was quite mucky, and even underwater in more than one place. I saw the wild boar mentioned by the other reviewer, as well a spike buck. I wandered north a ways, from the more wooded environ, then easterly into flatwoods dotted with many game trails. More than one of those trails dead ended forcing me to back track a bit. Not the place to break-in new hiking boots. With that in mind this is Florida and consequently prime rattler terrain. So watch where you step. A long walking stick might be a comfort to you. I'd also recommend a small rucksack with extra water, a hat and sun screen. A good pair of jeans might keep your legs from getting sliced up by the saw palmettos in a number of spots.
