Unexpected surprise. Live a little north and finally decided to give it a try. It was excellent. Grilled Veal Chop was best ever! Veal Saltimbocca was so flavorful and tender, Rob our server attentive and pleasant. Value was excellent for the quality and presentation. Well be back
The lasagna is a 15/10, and a very generous portion, but unfortunately the Caesar Salad dressing tastes like it was squeezed out of a $3 Kraft dressing bottle. It’s also unfortunate that when they remodeled, they removed all the booths…. weird. It makes for a very uncomfortable dining experience due to special medical needs, so we only get takeout now since they don’t have any booths. It would be only 3.5 out of 5 stars, but I give them a 4/4.5 since the employees are always really friendly, even if it is to just help with our takeout order :)
We had a very nice evening. We sat outside and the weather was perfect. The food was very good. If I had an issue it was with the quantity of food because the servings are rather generous. Good service was also a visit plus.
Went there last night for dinner. We were regulars at Nick's when it was open and just adored that place, so a lot of our review is a comparison to the old joint. The food was top notch in quality and 5 stars, though significantly more pricey than Nick's. Flavors were comparable. The service was extremely fast as we received our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering it. That was impressive. Unfortunately, however, this place is not as family friendly as Nick's was. They removed all booths and replaced them with tables, likely to make it more classy looking, but it removes some of the comfort and warm, welcoming feelings. They lack kids menus, and it didn't seem like kids were very welcome there. My oldest son was very disappointed at the lack of a "make your own pizza" option for kids, which he loved at the old joint. Also, the service seemed sort of disorganized, though that might have been attributable to it being Christmas eve. We had multiple people try to take our order and it was unclear who our server was; and despite the speed of our food's arrival, we had to hunt some random person down to give us our check. Overall, it was good, but not as good or welcoming as Nick's, in our opinion.
