I try to go here every day. A nice walk for me and for my dog Rudolph. It's a great people park there is cold drinking water there and they provide baggies for your dog's waste. There's a nice cement walk path around the park I usually go around a few times before I head home. Very convenient for me because I live on 19th Street so it's a half a block away. I'm so glad they made this little Park for people and dogs because we don't have any dog parks but if it wasn't enclosed doggy park, I probably would not use it. I like the idea that all dogs stay on a leash. Thanks to Broward County Parks or whatever Department decided to make this a pocket park here, I am one of several others using this park. It's very nice they keep the grass trimmed several times a week and there are natural plants growing here.
On December 5, 2017, the County Commission approved the renaming of the pocket park to "Washburn Park" in response to a request from the Broadview Park Civic Association, in memory of Jack and Jan Washburn, who co-founded the neighborhood civic association. Plans for the park dedication and official ribbon cutting ceremony are underway.
