This place has a nice fitness / walking trail, and a decent sized playground. There are a couple places to sit. Overall, a fairly nice park.
I wish they had an actual public bathroom.
We always end up seeing a little wildlife while we are here. There is a paved path to ride bikes or walk which is great because sometimes the attention stands are not long enough for JUST the playground. The playground is pretty cool too. Just beware, there is not bathroom.
A short but nicely paved trail that's a good place to take your leashed dog for a few laps around the loop. There are occasional bicycles on the trail but it is pretty wide and open. There is a nice playground for the kids. Also, there is another paved trail around the perimeter of the open areas that is less travelled. A well maintained park. Porta-potties are available (if no one tipped accessable.
This location has great potential to be a 'birding hotspot'. Hopefully there are future plans for a nice trail to access views of the large wetland/marsh that is on the north side of the property. It is a wide open area where the view would great from an elevated look-out tower!!! Currently, the marsh is not accessable.
Had a big gathering at the park. The park is very clean. Just watch out for the little gator in the pond.
This is the perfect local park for those who are just getting into fitness, older adults, or those who just want a little serenity in their daily routine. I love that the trail is pavement since concrete destroys shins and wrecks havoc on our bodies. You should know that you will be circling the trail multiple times in order to get your miles in. I believe it is suppose to be .5 mile for one lap but that’s not what my iWatch registered after the first lap. However, the trail has lots of shade for those hot days so that’s a plus. The only thing I wish the County would’ve done at this park is extend a portion of the trail for those of us who like to run at least 3 miles. Taking the trail towards the water with an overlook spot would have made this park the best option for fitness outings in Fleming Island.
