Russ-Doe's Sandwich Shop

Simple fare, but cheap, friendly, and SUPER fast. Usually I'm in and out in under 10 min and have paid less than $6. Wide variety of sandwiches from BLTs to quesadillas or just a simple grilled cheese. They only accept CASH! But there is an ATM inside.

Russ Does has been a family favorite for over 20 years. It was a great place to stop for breakfast before school and now my grandson and I come. Favorite is an egg salad sandwich and mine is a tuna salad on toasted pita lettuce, tomato and banana peppers. Their prices are very fair here and they also have very fast service. The ice tea is fresh and it’s a very friendly and old-school kind of place. If I don’t get take out I enjoy sitting at the picnic tables in the shade.

This place is one of the best sandwich shops in Jacksonville. Well I'll go ahead and say it. It is the best in Jacksonville. The food is always hot and fresh. They make you feel like family when you walk in the door. There service is second to none. Very fair pricing. I go everyday except Saturday and Sunday. If you are in the downtown Jacksonville area for breakfast or lunch I highly recommend stopping in. The best sweet tea in the south. And that's saying something.
