I had intestinal blockages in four places. First went to Baptist hospital by ambulance. They ran me through CT scanner and basically sent me home with nothing more than basically something to unstoppable me. Well I suffered another 8-10 hrs just throwing up every few mins. I was about to die and was prepared to. Then my sister came and demanded to take Mr to uf Shands in river city. As soon as I got there they did same scans as Baptist on Amelia Island. They immediately put together a team of surgeons and told me I was going septic. They rushed .e into surgery and thank God it was successful I had 4 blockages from a 40 year old gunshot wound I stayed on second floor close to a week. I've never seen a place so clean and it was like nothing I'd ever encountered. They were all so nice and I did not have one complaint my entire stay and that not normal for me. So that my story. They were awesome.

The experience with my son today was beyond amazing. We walked in thinking it maybe something simple but thanks to Dr Ghali being attentive and thorough my son was scheduled and in emergency surgery within less than two hours! Dr. Marino was an amazing surgeon. His anesthesiologist was caring and understanding. His post op nurses were sooooo compassionate and caring. And just when I didn’t think it could get any better his icu nurse Karen is an absolute God send! Not only did she make sure my baby is taken care of she let out the bed, made it for me and brought me food. Her level of care is beyond anything I have EVER experienced!!! I work for and have been a surgical patient at Mayo Clinic and today I can honestly say UF Health raised the bar on patient care and caring for the loved ones of the patient as well. I cannot express my gratitude and gratefulness thank you all sooooooooo much! You’re amazing.

I had the most compassionate, caring nurse. Her name is Shelby! She is a ER Nurse. I came here because we live in Kingsland Ga. That hospital sucks. They’ve misdiagnosed myself and others I know. And all around just suck. So we drive the extra 25 min to come to this hospital. Unfortunately my visit to the ER was with my son, and my husband. I unfortunately am suffering from a miscarriage. My first one ever. My nurse Shelby immediately was so caring, kind, thoughtful, sweet, helpful nurse. Genuinely, the best I’ve ever had. She made this whole experience bearable and easier. The ER doctor I have is just as awesome. But the highlight of my whole year is Shelby. She not only paid close attention to my son, while taking the best care of me. She was active with him, and did her job effortlessly. Without ever making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. It was like I had a friend, as a nurse. Which is how it’s supposed to feel! My son loved her and told her how pretty she is. (: I’m just very thankful that in this hard time, I was able to receive top-notch care from a Nurse who is here for more than just a paycheck. You can see her big heart. It radiates from her. I honestly wish more nurses had the heart she does. Not to mention, I love this ER because every time I’ve came here, it’s been fast, efficient, and always very clean.

We recently visited UF Health. My Family member had surgery. UFHealth is a great place to have surgery and recover. This review is written from the view of a Caregiver. The day of the surgery, The Staff and check in personnel were organized and efficient. Every question was answered. The waiting room was clean and quiet. A monitor updated all stages of my loved one’s surgery. I was given the room number to go to. The room was a private room with a recliner and a sofa bed.The patient has a opportunity to order their meals via TV monitor. You can prepay for a Visitor meal, and they will bring it to you. My Family member’s surgery was an overnight stay, so I stayed in the room. The Nurse brought me pillows, sheets and a blanket. The Nurses are polite, knowledgeable and Friendly. Overall it was a good experience. The Hospital is new and beautiful.
