Alfred A McKethan Pine Island Park

It was nice walk around the island. Sand was clean. It was sad that we didn't find any shells. Music band was so cool. Seen lots of blue crabs, that was amazing. Nice park for the kids and great changing and rinse area. Restrooms were clean and spacious. Loved it here.

Very hot in the summer-water isn’t as refreshing as the cooler springs. However, they have a cute playground, good picnic area(s), cash only little food truck(s). We even saw dolphins chasing fish a few yards from us (see video)! I think we will be staying in the cooler springs though til the heat calms down.

I want to keep this place a secret! Small but awesome park/ Beach area. You better get there early as parking fills up quick and then it’s 1 out and 1 in. Snack Shack has awesome food and staff. Clean and a great place to watch the sunset and enjoy the day. Lots of beach weddings here. 3 pavilions- first come first serve basis . $5 to get in / State Park - Debit or credit only - no cash for parking .

Pine Island Park... a great place for the family. Parking is $5 per vehicle card only for payment, no cash accepted. A great location that offers the beach, a playground, and food or just pack your own. The beach area is very clean, so please help them keep it that way. No alcohol or containers. There are restrooms and outside showers to rinse off. Keep in mind that once the parking area is full and mind you, it gets full fast, so I recommend you come early or you will be disappointed.

This is a nice little beach. Tremendous amount of seaweed to wade through to get in water though. Saw a shark at the breaker wall but it scooted out as soon as we started walking in water. Also saw dolphins out aways.
$5 parking fee with credit/debit only. Parking attendant helps with parking as it gets filled up. As it gets closer to summer, you need to arrive early to secure a spot. Gets crowded fast and there is a limit to parking. No life guard. Beautiful view.
