Great place with a lot of options for farm-fresh, locally sourced fruit, vegetables and other items. They have local honey, meat and assorted mushrooms that you can't find anywhere else! While a lot of the packaging is dirty/dusty from being outside, that is to be expected since everything is outside in the elements anyways. This unassuming farmers market even has a surprise, COWS! And you can feed them yourself in the back ($3/bucket). This was definitely a fun experience for people of all ages, and I'd definitely go back.
Produce is wonderful, very fresh and nothing rotten. No flies or bugs in site, even being next to a farm. Staff very friendly, and be careful of the surface walking. Some up and downhill bumps and a gravel parking lot.
We would suggest anyone with interest in farm life or cows, make it a point to visit this farmers market.
Here you can feed the cows and calfs behind a fence. With purchase of a bucket of food at $3.00 per.
This location also has fruit and vegetables available for purchase as well as beef.
Things to consider:
Be mindful of the weather and your foot wear. This is mostly fields of dirt and grass.
Also parking is limited.
I grew up in farm country, we sold veggies from a small 2 person roadside stand w grandma and grandpa back in the 70s. This place is what they wished they could of had. Have enjoyed watching this place grow over the years and fond of the black and white cat that appears for a snuggle now and then. The food, plants and the rest are great, the vibe is strong and the cows like attention.
Love their Guacamole!
