  More importantly than how he made sure I was treated fairly. He made sure my mental health dealing with the issues was under control. Half lawyer/advocate and half therapist.
  While, my situation was complicated, he made sure I knew my rights and my mental health was the most important. If you get a letter from the IRS this should be the first person you call. You will be ok. He will make sure of it.

  Having dealt for many years with the IRS on my own, as well as with other tax professionals with limited success, I can say without a doubt Darren Mish is head and shoulders above anyone I've worked with. Our initial meeting was concise, to the point, straightforward, and conversational. Darren definitely has a talent in making complex tax concepts and IRS doublespeak easy to understand for the layman. He and I developed a plan to not only deal with my tax issues but to do it in a way that would leave my situation strengthened to avoid any further problems in the future. An Offer in Compromise is a long and involved process that can take months to resolve as mine took almost a year. Throughout that time there were constant check in's by both Mr. Mish and his excellent staff to insure that I knew exactly how my case was proceeding. All of my questions were answered immediately as they arose and were a phone call away when I needed answers or assurances. Also, despite what I am sure is an extensive client list I was always able to speak directly to Darren within 24 hours of requesting a meeting, something unheard of by my previous tax attorney who often required a week or more of lead time. Beyond the professionalism in processing my case everyone in Mr. Mish's organization also displayed genuine concern for me and my families own personal well being treating our situation with the upmost dignity and respect. A long battle against the IRS, especially in the middle of the Pandemic can be extremely draining and it was always refreshing to hear a friendly and positive voice on the other end of the phone while navigating the sometimes stressful process. Ultimately though its the results that speak for themselves: On a personal back tax debt of almost $ 42,000.00 Darren was able to negotiate a settlement with the IRS of $80.00. Even with his more than reasonable fee factored into the equation that is value lightyears beyond what I expected to settle for. Realize that there is going to be some work on your end to pull together documents and back tax information but once submitted you'll definitely have the best possible team to champion your case.
