Lake Louisa State Park Tours & Activities

My daughters and I were visiting from Boston. We decided to try horseback riding, and what an amazing decision it was. The staff were so friendly and put you right at ease with the horses. The grounds were so beautiful and scenic. My daughters loved it , and loved the horses chosen for them. Just overall a wonderful and memorable experience! Would highly recommend!

This was our kids (8 y/o girl & 10 y/o boy) first experience riding a horse, they loved it and want to go back. The ride was very relaxing and peaceful. The horses were great. Our guide was great. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen!! I would recommend this for anyone.. We are planning another trip soon.

My wife and I along with our Grandson had a great time. Arden and Abbey were the Best Guides you could ever hope for. We all have very little horseback riding experience but our guides match us up with horses that are very calm and easygoing. We felt safe and in good hands with Arden and Abbey because they gave us a demonstration of how to Mount and dismount safely and they took the time to answer any of our questions and concerns. They recommended we arrive half hour early for orientation. We will definitely be returning again and we highly recommend this to be your go to place for riding.

From the moment that my friend, family, and I walked into the Canteen, we were greeted with so much warmth and respect. I can not remember the young man’s name that assisted with our kayak rental, but boy was he amazing! He was very informative and nurturing being that it was our first time and we were doing this with younger kids. The kids caught on very easily. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get away from the noise and enjoy a little peace. Make sure to bring hats, sunglasses, water bottles, wear swim socks, and suntan. I honestly can’t wait to go back and do it again. They also offer horseback riding, and Segway tours!!!!!

Hello Arden, This experience was a Christmas gift with my two grandchildren!! We had a great time!! It would be nice for the hour ride to start when the gate opens to begin the ride. The wait time for others to mount should not be part of our ride time. Our wranglers were very nice. I think the only thing I noticed is you could use nicer tack. We would most definitely recommend this ride to others. Thank you again. Happy New Year!!
