San Jose's Original Mexican Restaurant

Family owned and operated; it began in the Spring of 2000, when five entrepreneurial brothers opened the first San Jose’s Mexican Restaurant in Orlando, Florida. Currently operating in Ocoee, Clermont, Leesburg, Altamonte Springs, Winter Garden and Tavares.
They had a simple vision in mind. To not just open a restaurant serving delicious, made-from-scratch Mexican dishes, but a place where guests could gather together to experience the unique flavors, along with the art and culture of Mexico – all in a comfortable, casual setting.
The San Jose’s story is simple. Extraordinary flavor, impeccable service, and memorable experiences. We couldn't agree more!

Anchor in a strip mall. Worth the stop. Delicious juicy steak tacos. I should have gotten more than just one. But I wanted to try something else as well. I also got a poblano stuffed fried pepper with mole sauce. Everything was fresh to order and delicious. I also had a michelado drink. It is a Corona beer with tomato juice and a lime rimmed with chili lime salt. It was awesome.

Visited again and kitchen and wait staff came and greeted me! So friendly I will be back!

First time in. Great lunch Specals. Everthing was made fresh. Served in a reasonable amount of time. Not too noisy and attentive servers. Great selection of beverages and bar items. Can't wait to return soon, when I am in the vicinity.

We wanted to try a different Mexican place. This was teally good! It is part of a strip mall in the Tavares Publix complex. There is nothing overly fancy about the decor but our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. My mojito was made well with the right ratio of muddled mint, lime, light rum, simple syrup, maybe too much ice, but aren't all drinks like that? The chips and salsa are the only items that are underwhelming. All 3 of our entrees were very delicioso! My shrimp and steak were perfectly cooked. Our fried ice cream was just right, not overly dressed like some we've had. We definitely recommend and will visit again.

Wonderful place with lots if variety. The chips and salsa were excellent! We were seated right away and our server was prompt. Lot's of variety on the menue with some items I don't often see. It was cool to see breakfast for lunch options with specialty Mwxican breakfast items. I had enchiladas wich were great. Wife had tacos that were great. Someone at our table had the double cheeseburger with was double wide not high...they raved about it and the fries. Great meal. Thank you!!
