What a cool venue for food and views. So much history on Tampa Bay. Lots of fishing 🎣 on the pier. A solid menu for food and drinks 🍺. Started with the onion rings and a crab 🦀 cake. Wow. That was awesome. Good house salad. Great fish and chips! Great fried shrimp and fries. The bottled beer IPA was amazing. The server was a cool dude. Everyone is really nice. Give it a fry. 😉
Such an incredible little chill spot to eat n have some beers. I live in Florida and can say that they are in the Top 3 for restaurants with the best grouper sandwich. I took my father here to also test the grouper - and he agrees it is one of the best! Also the service and staff are really good too. Highly recommend.
We had lunch here before hitting the beach. The menu is simple and the food was very very good. I would say that the Cuban sandwich and the shrimp chowder are a must try. They may not always have the corn and shrimp chowder, it was a day special when we were there. This soup was very delicious, we had the "best clam chowder" at another restaurant the day before. This chowder, although not clam based, blew that one out the water as far as flavor goes. We also tried the wings and the wedge salad.
If you have an hour, you can rent some rods from the nice gentleman that runs the stand. You can also buy some bait, live or frozen. I had seen some videos about people fishing here but we did not have much luck, we only caught a small perch. We did see people with their own gear so the fishing might is probably good when you bring in good gear. You can always swim after your meal but there are better beaches to check out if you are only here for a few days. There is also a free trolley that takes you to manatee beach and further south, this is their most northern stop on their route.
Enjoy y'all!
Stop reading reviews and go here. Food, Service & View= Perfection. Fish & Chips- the fish was different for me (not a crispy batter) BUT it was SO TASTY. Onion Rings- were indeed really good. Ask for the Mahi Mahi Sandwich- Light & Well Seasoned. PERFECTLY grilled veggies. The view here is stunning. The staff is top notch and they create such a chill vibe.
Such a great find!!! We loved the the food. Had the Mahi sandwich which was so amazing. The seafood chowder was the best we have ever had and we get it often. The draft beers were only $1.50! The view out on the pier was the best! This is the type of restaurant we love! Eat where the locals eat and you will never go wrong. Seating is very limited but have a drink and relax by the water while you wait.
