Intimate spot, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Large selection of wines. All pastas are made fresh in house. We had a delicious veal ravioli with white truffle mushroom sauce and a pasta ragu, both with the restaurant’s signature meatballs. Both were wonderful. The owners greeted us at our table, and told us a bit about their history; a charming family. We will definitely be back often!
Visiting from Tampa for my anniversary and stop by this awesome Italian restaurant, I wish we had authentic Italian in tampa area but I can never find it. Food is delicious. Finally a place that chills wine glasses for my CHARDONNAY..
We already spread the word to family and friends if in the area to stop by this place, closed on Tuesdays, call first though... music felt like I was back in the northeast !
AMAZING food and service, one of the best meals I have had in years! We came in with a party of 11, including 5 children, everyone left happy and full! The pasta is absolutely to die for, and the eggplant appetizer will blow you away. If I could give 10 stars I would!!
Just excellent each and every visit. Amanda is always a wonderful server and the food is freshly prepared with every order.
La Norma is truly a hidden gem.
This is a smaller, Italian fare restaurant, with red checkered tablecloths, Frank Sinatra Music, etc the works. We have been visiting Long Boat Key/Sarasota for a decade now, and have eaten at many different restaurants. Only a select few have made our "must go list" because there's always somewhere new to try. La Norma is an absolute must, and easily sits at the top of the list.
We have tried the Basil Pesto Gnochi, a Margherita Pizza, the Vodka Ravioli, House Salad, Canoli, Meatball Appetizer, Lemon Sorbet , and Salted Caramel Gelato. I honestly could have died happy after this meal. What an absolute pleasure to see such care and love put into each dish. There's is nothing more I can say that will do the food and experience justice, except that if you have the opportunity to visit, DO SO, you will thank yourself.
