    Barry is an incredibly effective trainer. When I first started working with Barry I did not understand diet and my only workout was minimal cardio with weightlifting. I was not getting the results I wanted by myself, so I went to Barry. His suggestions on diet, exercise and lifestyle brought me from 250 pounds with little to no musculature to 230 pounds leaned out with muscular definition. I'm much happier in my life thanks to Barry.

    I suggest everyone I know to at least go to Barry for a consultation. The man's knowledge is vast, effective and most importantly, safe. Masterman's Move Better Fitness is a "no broscience zone", which is a rarity amongst the trainers I've known. If you're at all interested in your health, call Barry Masterman. If you listen to him and follow his advice, you will improve your health.

    I have lost weight before with cardio and a change in diet but I was pretty flabby and weak. I have lifted weight before but ended up injuring myself. I have had trainers connected to a popular gym before but never got the results I wanted. With Barry, it's not about a change in how the body look but rather a change in how to approach fitness and a change in my thinking about health. Barry uses functional fitness to measure fitness level, to design and implement a fitness program that will provide you with what your particular body needs. My fitness program took into consideration the past injuries I incurred and the wear-and-tear of being a dancer since the age of 6. I didn’t lose weight but built strong muscles that enabled me to be fit and I felt absolutely great in my body. The program he put together for me soothed and helped healed the injuries I sustained. Some aspects of fitness training I had never considered were neurological and emotional. Barry talks about all that and how the physical body works with these other aspects of our being. It helped me understand a lot about my progress. I am highly satisfied and will reach my 1 year anniversary with Barry with in July.

    I've been working with Barry weekly for several months & it's been awesome! I started not knowing anything about training, but I wanted to become better-rounded and more effective in my workouts. Every week is a new challenge, but Barry is great about gradually progressing each week and never pushing me beyond what I can handle. Working with Barry the past few months I have been getting much stronger & definitely notice the physical difference. Plus he is super nice, fun to talk to, and makes you feel very comfortable. So glad I started training with him!

    I have been training with Barry at Move Better Fitness for close to a year. I came to MBF with a goal of improved mobility and strength and I have made steady progress toward those goals. I had decreased mobility in my upper back and shoulders and working with Barry has greatly improved that. I have had instability in my hip and back and Barry is helping me to become more stable and to develop better movement patterns. I have also been able to progress steadily in my strength training and regularly achieve PR's. I have found Barry to be a very thoughtful and patient trainer. He comes to our sessions prepared and has developed a program that has helped me get stronger and more mobile. I look forward to our continued work together!
