  Interesting quarry. Nice trails, plenty of parking. You pay via envelope for access, but there is also a free area.

  What a nice park! I read reviews saying they were unsure what to expect, and I felt exactly the same. Unsure, and then quite happy with it! The small visitor's center provided enough geological and historic information to make the park much more interesting. The trail book provided gave lots of information on both the quarry site and the trees/geological features. We also met a friendly park ranger on one of the trails who gave us an explanation of the different types of mangroves. We did the Windley and Quarry trails as well as the Hammock trail. Lots of sun on the Quarry trail, obviously, more shady on the Hammock trail. The Hammock trail also had more mosquitoes and many large orb weavers. Very cool if you're into that sort of thing.

  Definitely need to stop in here for so much info about Florida Keys and it's wildlife. Quite a bit of history to learn as well. We really enjoyed the hike and the fossils!

  I couldn’t believe how amazing this place was!!! It’s definitely worth a stop to see the fossilized coral! They give you a guidebook and it’s a self guided tour through different paths that are super well marked and correspond with information in your guidebook. We ended up learning a lot about the coral, quarry, and other fun facts like Sahara Desert dust making it’s way across the world to this site.
  
  It’s only $2.50 per person to walk through the park. SO WORTH IT!

  It was my first time going and I loved it. I love history and fossils so it checked both boxes for me. Also got to see lots of lizards so tdt was a huge plus for me as well. It's beautiful and peaceful here. When you go down into the quarry it's an odd peacefully quiet even with others up above you.
