It was an incredibly enjoyable experience to eat here. All the staff were friendly and greeted you with smiles. The view from our table was beautiful and the ambience was even better. The fish in my fish tacos was so delicious and fresh, I ate it without the flour tortilla. French fries were crispy and delightful. I will definitely be returning to this charming little spot in the future.
This was one of the best places I've been to since trying dining in the Florida Keys. I'm visiting from out of town and choose this place based on the options on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were made to perfection, and the desserts are to die for. The service provided was second to none that I've been able to experience. Very attentive, always ensuring the table was taken care of. The atmosphere was amazing. My party sat outside right near the water and everything was so serene. I would recommend The Buzzard's Roost to everyone that's in the area and some! Thank you for everything! I will be coming back on a future trip to the area!
What a wonderful discovery! Was shopping in the area and Buzzard’s Roost was suggested for a waterfront dinner. It’s tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and sits on a short canal that leads out to the ocean. Outside seating ample and comfortable and between fans and a breeze just fine on a late August afternoon temperature-wise. It’s a casual spot and my expectations for the food weren’t high so I was very happily surprised by a fresh, crunchy, and flavorful wedge salad and absolutely delicious blackened shrimp tacos. Had just enough room left for a taste of Key Lime Pie and it had a nice tang to it. Definitely adding this spot to my list of go-to’s. And I forgot to mention, the service was excellent! Jorge gave me great suggestions and they made a smaller version of the wedge salad for me so I could also try the tacos.
I had late lunch.
The menu had a wide selection of food.
The oysters were meaty and good. The tuna for appetizer was good. We ordered fish and the conch burger. The food in general is good and fresh. Low in salt which is wonderful.
Good place for a casual informal lunch.
Dog friendly.
The restaurant is located in the marina and you can see your boat from the table, if you arrive on boat.
Off of Highway 1 in a quiet neighborhood with a marina on either side at the end of a canal. Outdoor seating area was great with a nice screened in patio. Wait staff and hostesses extremely friendly and service was excellent. Good was solid, standard Florida seafood and american dishes. Bugs were a problem as it got dark so keep that in mind as it gets dark. No wait on a Friday night. Would definitely go back.
