Great place to find clothes to household goods for cheap! Also has information on social services and even serve a free lunch...i THINK on Saturdays. Owner is a wonderful person and staff is great too! :)
I wanted to update my review from 2 years ago and found Pray 1 Thrift Store formerly known as "New Beginnings" remains a 5 star experience. I still like to look about to fill in for my small household needs. Most items are arranged nicely or grouped by categories and many items are new or like new. Prices are super reasonable, priced to move quickly. They have extensive furniture, bedding, lamps and art too. They sell extensive cookware, dishware and glasses all of which are in excellent condition. They no longer arrange to pick up donations. Know that all staff except the manager work as volunteers. Those individuals and families who are in need of fresh daily breads can come into the store to obtain groceries, bread and personal care items for free. No one is turned away for need and the huge selection of clothing insure the needy are clothed as well. All donations are accepted and all proceeds from the sale of such go to assist the local homeless and families.
If you like thrift stores you might just love this hidden gem. It has pro's and cons for not being apart of a chain. Pro's: Not many people know that it's there so not been picked over. Reasonable prices, Money goes to help people not board of directors. You never know what you are going to find. Cons: Because it's not a big chain, Sometimes selections can be hit or miss. Don't wait till the last minute, Business hours are a guide not the rule? Multiple times I've gone or driven past and they've closed early for the day.
This is an excellent thrift shop with diverse merchandise that is clean and typically gently used or in new condition. It’s goal is to raise funds to feed and clothes those in need, especially the homeless. From kitchen ware to electronics, clothing shoes and hats you will find what you want here! The merchandise turns over quickly because so many local residents donate good every day. Thus daily sales as high as 50-75% off is typical. Friendly staff big spacious space makes this shop a daily destination for your every day needs!
Has lots of stuff. Today was 50 % off. My wife is very happy with clothing she bought. I got nice paid of swim shoes. Cloth napkins and towels. Spent 11 bucks.
