  Loved this place as a kid. Unfortunately is no longer in use. Bring torn down to make way for DVC resort in the coming years

  River Country occupies a special and historic place in Theme Park Lore--the first of its kind. Sadly, low attendance after the "new park" sheen wore off doomed it, and now WDW has two other top of the line water parks to compensate.
  Long a "hidden" part of this park, it will now be completely demolished, for a new luxury Disney Vacation club resort. This resort is unnamed at the time of my posting, but will be in the 900 room range with a "Natural Kingdom" theme in keeping with the area. No opening dates as yet.
