Thank you thank you for taking in an infant raccoon from me and my sister. I would say the baby raccoon may have been about a week old when my sister found it. You guys Rock!
Please, for those that can donate, please please donate bc they solely rely on your donations! My sister donated $100 and it all goes to the care of these marvelous creatures! Yes, it's a raccoon but it is still God's creation just like you and I. God Bless you all and God bless the folks at Back To Nature!!
Lovely people. Found an injured armadillo and brought it here. Saw lots of kindness toward animals.
This is a wonderful organization filled with extremely hard working animal lovers. We learned about it after bringing an orphaned fledgling to them, and it turns out they also have a nice little public area filled with unreleasable animals to learn about, and a short hiking trail out to the lake.
Wonderful place! My daughter rescued a baby bird & named him Jerry. Since she gave him a name; we then had to save him. He was so tiny that he needed a pro to care for him. My daughter researched where to go, called to see if they would take him and then we drove over an hour to drop him off to a great group of people! As a bonus we realized they have a nature trail to walk!!! Now that's on the to do list also.
Back to Nature WR is an ideal place to take a small group of kids or friends for an afternoon adventure without the hustle and bustle of a theme park or large zoo. We love this place for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, their cause: helping rehab local wildlife. Second, it's never crowded. Third - You can see foxes and other interesting species as close as any major zoo, but it's not presented in a commercial style that makes you wonder about the motive: You can clearly tell that their #1 purpose is to help these animals live out the remainder of their lives in peace.
