This is a fun, character free dinner show with really delicious food. If you're not into Hawaiian or seasoned food, you may have trouble enjoying it but if you like pork and rice, you'llbe just fine. Dishes are served family style but don't feel bad about asking for extra food because it's included.
The entertainment is great, too, but they save the most engaging acts (especially if you're with kids) towards the end of the evening)
It was a great performance with some good food! Thank you Matthew Cristi!! You went above and beyond for us for that night making it special for our Anniversary!! We hope to come back in the near distant future and watch the show again!
I thought the food overall was great but the drink selection and desert was limited unless you wanted to pay more. The last 15-20 min of the show with the fire thrower and native dancers was terrific and the rest of the show was ok. I felt like For the rest of the show I felt that I was in Blue Hawaii but without Elvis. Seriously, if they had an excellent Elvis impersonator it would probably work much better.
I was pleasantly surprised after having less than stellar experiences in the past. We were seated in the back but this was not an issue, While the food is not Master Chef quality overall I enjoyed and sampled the majority of what was there! The pulled pork, ribs and coconut rice were my favorites and the pulled pork was surprisingly moist - great job chefs! Our waiter was attentive in just the right amount and was always close by when I desired to ask for seconds. The show itself was quite enjoyable and has been altered from past performances to keep me entertained the entire time. One of the aspects I enjoyed the most was when a large portion of the audience were invited up to participate. I have to admit that this weekend's performance turned this past skeptic into a believer. The show itself is worth going if you have never been to a Luau before. Veteran Luau go''rs might find it slightly old hat. The dinner service does get 'pushed' a bit in order to have time to enjoy the show. My only recommendation for Disney would be to have slightly better audio for those in the back and to better organize/communicate the process for entering the show. Overall -- I was very pleased! with the changes made and especially with the food!
