Everglades/park. Raised boardwalk. Gators in the water, baseball snails, and cranes.
Pavilions out over the water with rocking chairs (!). Boat tours available. Nice
interpretive center with exhibits and friendly staff. Small parking lot.

Small but sweet. Great place to walk on boardwalk thru forest. Quiet beauty. I enjoyed display of artifacts from native Americans. A little gem. The best is sitting on the rocking chairs looking at nature. ????????

This is a very nice wetlands preserve. It's not busy this time of year. We saw numerous birds and a few plants are starting to bloom. The board walk was an easy walk with little huts available to stop and some with rocking chairs and benches.

If you love the beautiful natural flora and fauna of South Florida, this is the spot for you. It is a wide, easy boardwalk trail that allows you to see Florida’s beauty in safety and ease. I see families with strollers, don’t bring your pets, though. Definitely take a camera, there are wide expanses of The Everglades and Cypress trees that are very picturesque. I’ve also noticed that there are kayaks, so I’m sure there are rentals available as well. I just went there and fell in love with it. You can reach their offices and find out what sort of programs they have available. I see there are children’s programs there as well. They have quite a bit going on. I try to get there in the mornings and do a brisk walk, you can’t find a more beautiful spot. It’s a nice alternative to the beach in the cooler months. And if you simply want to do the walk, it is free.
