  I had the pleasure of working with Elaine Shepherdson at Solutions family therapy, and I cannot say enough positive things about her services. She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient in offering advice on how to handle my teenager's recent struggles. Elaine took the time to understand our situation and provided us with compassionate guidance for communication between parents and teens. Her insight was invaluable during this difficult period, and it allowed our family to approach the issue from a more collaborative perspective that ultimately improved things for our teenage daughter.   An A+ experience. Seldom in the arena of "Therapy" can it be quantified or truly measured to a level of success. I have had claustrophobia my entire life but as I have gotten older it has worsened. I was recently hire for a job and I did not realize some of the job training would require Very Dark & Close Quarter experiences. I failed the training and was removed from the training class but was afforded the opportunity to recycle. I was informed "Pass or be Terminated". After several short sessions of therapy I was not cured of my claustrophobia but given skills to get through the training. I passed the training and credit 100% of my success to Solutions Family Therapy - Thank You!

  Elaine helped me through a very difficult period of my life. She assisted in helping me through the grief and heartache and encouraged me in finding the positive aspects of my future. Her methods helped me make difficult decisions and move forward into the possibilities that were mine to embrace. She was supportive and empathetic to my feelings and also helped me challenge some of my thought processes so that I could be a healthy and happy individual. I would recommend Elaine to assist anyone through difficult times and to be supportive and empowering through your journey forward and through it to come out on the other side a stronger person than when you started.
