Don't know why the rating is as low as it is. I've dosed at both the Spring Hill (Hernando County) and Port Richey (Pasco County) clinics. From the get go, I've felt welcomed by the staff and have been treated marvelous! Shout out to the best counselor there is, Taylor! She's undoubtedly one of the sweetest and most caring individuals that I've come across! The nurses are all phenomenal and down to earth as well. The only one person that I wish was a bit more friendly is Darrell in the front. He always looks miserable, I wish I could turn his frown upside down but it is what it is, no place can ever be perfect! Still deserves 5 stars in my opinion! Keep up the great work, PAR.

Too bad most people think methadone is bad or causes deaths. Methadone does not cause death the user who abused is responsible for their death.

People losing loved ones and blaming the clinic most likely aren't telling you that the person who died either got new meds from another doctor and did not report to clinic like they are supposed to or are using other drugs or Xanax while on ,methadone and then die. Methadone is for opioid addicts if someone does die directly from the use of methadone alone they cheated the system and lied about their habit. Methadone can help the sick and addicted get their lives back on track. But before you choose methadone maintenance make sure it's for you do your homework there are plenty of ways to get educated today with the Internet and now data and cell phones that access the Internet. Mixing certain drugs with methadone can be lethal. Normally the addicted get better on methadone and do not die if they are working the program honestly. The clinic does do random drug testing to try and stop the abuser from mixing the wrong drugs. The clinic does not just keep upping your dose. Only way your dose is adjusted is if you ask for it and there are questions you must answer. If someone is being dishonest about their dose and trying to just get high then they are risking their own neck. Methadone does not get you a high like Heroin or Dilaudid does. Most who blame methadone/clinic from loss of a loved one are hurting and do not know how the system works.

To the people who think negative about this place.... When people who overdose on methadone or ANY substance, they OD because they took too much. Methadone clinics do not kill people. People OD because they chose to take the amount they took. You can not go yo a clinic and demand a certain dose. The nurses and doctor work together to get people on the dose they need, not the dose they want. Overdose is very tragic but if the methadone that they took was given to them from a clinic then that person had take homes and chose to take more than what they were supposed to take. Thats like saying its chocolates fault people have diabetes. No. Its the person who chose to eat so much chocolate. Theres a risk with everything which is why theres rules and guidelines. Im very sorry for the liss to everyone who lost a loved one to overdose but methadone programs DO work for people who choose to take it the right way and change their life.
