Ridgecrest Elementary School

My child is in the gifted program here. Best decision we have ever made for him.

I go there for school and it rocks. I learn a lot everyday!!!😃😃😃😄😄😄

Many years ago at Plumb Elementary, my grades started to slip in 2nd grade, and I would become disengaged during the once or twice a week
'gifted program". I'm glad my parents realized something I did not. My grades were slipping because I was bored out of my mind and was never being challenged mentally. My mom had me start 3rd grade at ridgecrest in the magnet program, and my grades shot back up and stayed there. Being around other kids as smart or even smarter than me was a blessing, and the teachers knew how to keep us mentally stimulated and engaged. I made friends with kids who are now almost abnormally successful adults. In class, it was almost embarrassing to score any lower than the 98th percentile on state issued tests. After graduating high school in 2009, I am now 25 and can see how much of a blessing this school was for kids like me.
