Paraíso Assisted Living

My Dad stayed with Chris, his wife and their team for respite care over the past year ( my brother made an excellent choice). For the past 6 weeks, my Dad quickly declined with end stage dementia. He passed yesterday at 96 1/2 years old. A good run by anyone’s standards. I am his oldest and only daughter. My husband, Rodney and I own an in home Senior Care business in Scottsdale, AZ. We understand memory care, hospice care, etc more than most. Chris exhibited the highest level of care with concern for safety, compassion and dignity for my Dad. We do business with many group homes in AZ. We would be privileged to work with someone like Chris and his team. Last Friday, my Dad had a brief surge. Chris immediately texted me so we could FaceTime with him. Dad heard my voice ( and my husband’s ) and lifted his arm. It was an incomparable gift to say goodbye. Over the last month, as Dad lost speech, Chris would run to grab my Dad’s phone when is phoned several times daily- I would talk and Chris would let us know Dad was gesturing with nods of comprehension. Paraiso is a wonderful. Home cooked food and loving care. This is where I want to be when I can no longer live alone.
