Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grille St Pete Pier

I just moved home and haven't been to the pier since it has been restructured. The restaurant was very busy, though we got seated immediately. Our server Dusty was fun and attentive, and the food choices were looking delicious. Inga had shrimp 🦐 tacos and I had a blackened grouper sandwich with veggies. I did want the conch chowder, perhaps he did not hear me. We sat outside and it was a most enjoyable experience.

Tried this resturant for the first time yesterday afternoon with the family. There were 6 of us. We had a great table (booth) with a view of the Pier. Our waitress Callie was friendly, attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. The resturant got very crowded as a storm blew in. Despite the influx of people, the kitchen was able to keep up. The food was very good (they even have a gluten free menu) and cooked to order. If you like rum, you must try the rum flights. It is a fun atmosphere, beautiful views and good food/drinks. I highly recommend making reservations. There are 2 parking lots on the Pier which are pay by license plate/per hour.

Doc Ford’s is the perfect restaurant for the St. Pete Pier experience. A beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, one of the most beautiful aquariums I have ever seen and a super friendly staff. I didn’t taste my dinner though because the appetizers that my table shared were so good, I was too full for my entree. Side note: try the fried calamari appetizer…it’s fantastic!

Came here for lunch after walking the Pier, it was nice to have some stone crab again! The rest of the food was very nicely presented - really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The paella was good, but not the best. Kids loved the pepperoni pizza, saw a lot of families today. Good offering of spicy sauces. The waitstaff was excellent and efficient with our requests. Would return again.
