Maximo Park

Lovely park with beautiful water views. Comfortable, with many shade trees and frequent ocean breezes.

A fine space for walking, relaxing, picnics, gatherings, and, if so inclined, disc golf and boating.

Although I'm not a disc golf player; the course seems attractive, the tees well equipped, and the players well satisfied.

The two sets of large boat ramps with an abundance of parking for trucks with boat trailers is a major attraction of the Park. (Be warned, however, that on good boating days, especially weekends, the parking fills up and no new boats are allowed in until others leave.)

Additionally, there is a small playground, with shade, centrally located.

Very good disc golf course in the greater St. Pete area. Some challenging technical holes mixed with some very long field throws. There are some technical throws in which you have the ability to lose your disk but as long as you keep your eye on it where it lands you should have no problem finding it

Nice boat ramp, it was easy to get my 260 in and out by myself. Good access to the bay area as well as sandbars and the ocean. On Saturday 9/25/2021 at 9am there was already limited parking. There were some park employees directing on where to park that made it very helpful.

Nice park for a BBQ on the water. Playground for the kids. If your planning on launching a boat on a beautiful day show up early, it gets packed. One of the best disc golf courses in Pinellas county. Technical course, a few holes I'd recommend having a spotter on if your not familiar with the course. The city has done an amazing job of clearing out the course. While it has lost some of its charm because of this it has become more accessible to players of all skill levels.

Maximo Park is one of the finest parks in all of Pinellas. It is extremely old and some of the trails are really starting to show their age (edit Jan 2021: they have repaved some of the trails so this has changed, I've noticed a lot of work going into the park lately with a ton of invasive species removal which has made the disc course easier and new plantings). There are lots of areas for picnicking, Biking walking sightseeing and a large boat ramp with trailer parking. And of course there is the best disc golf course in the area here, 18 holes, very difficult at times, blind throws, but well-marked and once you get the hang of the lines extremely rewarding.
