  As the founding innkeeper of Dickens House BnB in 1999, I have a unique perspective on it's present day operation. Innkeepers are a special breed; committed, dedicated, passionate and with a dash of obsessive compulsiveness to keep it all going! And maybe a little crazy. Carlos and Kevin exhibit all those traits and then some.
  
  So it was a special treat to be included at the breakfast table this week to visit with a guest who had been staying with me (and now the new boys on the block) for many, many years. He comes from Seattle for business and we always get together to catch up.
  
  Kevin was hosting solo as Carlos was in flight and that is always a true challenge He served a breakfast I had introduced them to. Namely, aebleskivers, a Danish pancake never seen in the USA. But he upped it to version 1.0, filled with apple, and served on a compote of blueberry reduction. Conversation flowed amongst the guests who were relaxed as if old friends, a temperament I credit to Carlos and Kevin's skill at putting guests at ease.
  
  After breakfast, I visited with my friend Neville on the front porch and waved hellos to neighbors I had known for 17 years as they walked past with their dogs. It was a wonderful morning and a delight to share it with all the other guests.

  The food was amazing! Spotlessly clean! Warm and inviting home with outstanding hosts! The tension from the daily grind melted away. Super location, easy asking distance to many area attractions and excellent restaurants, can’t wait to plan another trip!

  Carlos and Kevin bring hospitality to a higher level. The charming house has a feel of home away from home. Very comfortable room and bed, squeaky clean bathroom and the best breakfast in town served in a huge round table that promotes conversation and the making of new friends. The attention to detail is unsurpassed. Great location with easy access to parks, museums, shops and restaurants. The perfect getaway!

  If you're looking to get the best treatment from 2 of the Best, look no more.
  Everything is beautiful and clean in this house. I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed. You have all the amenities you can think of.and some. I love the fact that they have water filter through the house, that means less plastic.
  The landscape is very nice and well taken care of. I felt like I was in a beautiful book story!
  Breakfast was excellent, the round table makes the experience and it invites the conversation to make you feel at home.
  Carlos and Kevin are a Tremendous Duo and they will do anything to accommodate you.
  You can easily walk to the bay walk and enjoy a beautiful sunrise, museums. Restaurants and shops.
  It was my first experience at a BnB and can honestly say that it has set the bar high and will definitely be back.

  My wife and I recently stayed two nights here and we had such a great stay. Ed is an awesome innkeeper and was very hospitable. He didn't even mind us checking in a little early. Breakfast was fantastic! In fact, I'm trying to emulate the poached egg recipe [KEYWORD: trying]. Seriously, the house is quaint and well-maintained. We had such a comfortable and restful stay there. We needed it! We own 3 businesses and are always dog tired. We felt well-rested after our stay at Dickens House B&B. The whirlpool bath was a huge PLUS!!! This place deserves an extra credit 6th star!!! We look forward to staying again in the future!!! Thank you again, Ed, for allowing us to be your guests!!!
