Get Up and Go Kayaking - Shell Key Preserve

We went in December with a group of 6, and it was amazing! This Florida trip was a 1st time for my youngest to see the ocean, and this kayaking excursion did not disappoint at all! The guide was very informative, and made sure everyone was doing great. Would definitely do this trip again! Even ate at the restaurant there, it was very good! Thanks for the great time!

Super awesome experience, the best memories out of our 4 day trip to Tampa. Weather was awesome when we started, it was misty and mysterious but cleared up to sunny weather half way through. The mangrove tunnel was a definite highlight. We saw a bunch of jellyfish, sea slugs, a huge blue crab and 2 dolphins. Chris our guide was super nice. We were a bit late that day and also was a little slow to kayak compared to everyone else, he made us feel right at home. Would definitely give this tour a 5 star. It’s a little pricey but well worth it.

We did the morning double see through kayak tour over to Shell Key Preserve with Chris, our tour guide. The day started out foggy, which added to the ambience of the experience. We kayaked three miles total and took us between 2-2.5 hours -- the speed was determined on the people in our tour. Chris did a great job of keeping us moving but didn't push us. Very enjoyable tour. I would highly recommend this to all ages and paddling abilities.

Checking reviews to see if this is truly worth it's solid 5 star rating? .....IT IS. The brand new clear kayaks. long stop at Shell key, and mangrove tunnel are certainly worthy of 4 stars- but what really sets this place apart from others in the area and adds that last star is its incredible staff. Seriously, check out their bios! All have degrees and extensive knowledge of the surrounding area. I felt super lucky to have fellow bird enthusiast, Raven, as my guide. She was the perfect mix of info and entertainment and is definitely the reason I'd recommend Get Up & Go over any other tampa bay area company. We will 100% be back. Soon!

Raven was an awesome tour guide for our group! We went with our work team and had the best time. My teammates said this was one of the best experiences of their lives. Raven was exceptionally knowledgeable and made sure the group stayed connected (all different experience level). We saw pelicans, upside down jellyfish, hermit crabs, and many other types of wildlife. Get up and go was great to book with and provided wet bags too.
