  This is the third time using the shop for a bike repair. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and absolutely fair with their prices! We thought we were going to need a new battery on our e-bike but Gene just completed the diagnosis and all we needed was a new lock cylinder. Voltaire is the best

  You might overlook this bicycle shop, because it's in a nondescript strip mall which you wouldn't expect to be near many beautiful bike trails. However, within a few blocks of this strip mall are several extremely beautiful journeys to be had. My two friends and I absolutely adored the owners, Caren and Ron, who gave us great directions to bike the length of Casey Key. At the end of that ride there's a taco shop and a couple wonderful places to swim on the bay- and ocean-sides of the key. Voltaire's bicycles are top-notch, new, extremely well-maintained, and shockingly inexpensive to rent. We will come right back when we are next in Sarasota.

  Our group of six called to check availability, and the very friendly employee quickly set us up on e-bikes. When we arrived at the shop, the bikes were ready to go. The bikes themselves were nearly new, in great condition and performed spectacularly! Our group had very little experience on e-bikes, and to say that we were impressed is an understatement. The staff thoroughly explained the controls, gave us directions to the Legacy Trail, and even suggested good spots to stop along the way for a cold beverage. We rode approximately 25 miles total, and couldn’t have been more pleased. Thank you Voltaire!

  Absolutely brilliant! Super friendly staff that are very knowledgeable and will help in any way possible! Will highly recommend this location to all my cycling friends!Rental bikes is possible. Great atmosphere!!!!

  What a great place to buy a bike! You are greeted by Otis the dog, who is huge and extremely friendly, as are the staff, who will literally fall over backwards to make sure they find the right bike for you! My husband just bought a Sun bike from Caren and her colleagues at the store and we couldn’t be happier. There was no stress, no pressure just a very enjoyable experience with a feeling that we had just made a lifelong friend!
