Dr Scionti performed the Tulsa Pro procedure for my prostrate cancer two years ago and I very highly recommend both Dr Scionti and his staff. Currently, I am virtually cancer free (0.09 PSA) and my health is great. Two and a half years ago, a biopsy showed intermediate stage prostrate cancer and my research and interviews with multiple treatment centers (including MD Anderson, Mayo and several highly respected clinics/techniques nationwide) lead me to Dr Scionti. In my experience, Dr Scionti is the most knowledgeable, professional, and clearest communicator in this field by a longshot. On top of this, his front office and nursing staff are the friendliest and most organized group I've ever run across (Audrey and Ann are great to work with). After having spent several months researching and talking with my urologist and many other providers on ablation, radiation, prostratetechtomy, etc, I was referred to Dr Scionti thru the medical manufacturer of the Tulsa Pro ablation device/equipment. From a scheduled telephone interview, Dr Scionti's knowledge of prognosis, statistics, techniques, outcomes, and history of protrate cancer far exceeded any others I'd interviewed, including Dr Pisters at MD Anderson. Dr Scionti answered all my questions, provided research papers, and quite frankly was head and shoulders above the rest. If you want the best advice, knowledge, and treatment, you've found the right doctor and clinic!!
One of the best decisions i have ever made was first to determine I was going to use HIFU for my 4+3 prostate cancer, and the second best decision was to select Dr. Scionti to perform the procedure. I did substantial research and chose Dr. Scionti because of his significant and long-term HIFU experience. One year after HIFU, my PSA is .02 and I had absolutely not post-HIFU issues. My Post-HIFU 'quality of life" is the same (maybe even better) than pre-HIFU. I cannot praise enough Dr. Scionti's ability to develop a pre-HIFU plan and then perfectly execute it.
