In His Image Institute of Counseling and Training

My last name is now Johnson first of all, have to figure out how to change that. But, to say the least, Dr. Winchell has helped me tremendously to work through trauma and negative thinking patterns. Never would I have thought I would find someone who counsels so well, and so knowledgeable about an array of different tools. And who is led by the Holy Spirit so well in the counseling sessions. I'm so very grateful for In His Image Counseling and for Dr. Lisa! Such a tremendous help!

through my husband and i learning both our individual and each other's temperaments, our communication and relationship have improved. We attended a workshop in which Lisa did a tremendous job at assessing our personalities as well as thoroughly explaining the practical implications for these for ourselves and others. Since our time with Lisa, I have been empowered to view myself as created in His image and embrace how that uniquely looks like within me!

After my fourth child was born, I floundered; my needs were not getting met. How could I mother four children well AND take care of myself? I was lonely and emotionally zapped. I wasn't the best mother I could be for my children, because I was not filling my own "tank."

In His Image made the difference.

Thanks to the Institute's two-day seminar, I learned:
1. the strengths, weaknesses and needs of my personal temperament,
2. how to honor my temperament, getting those needs met while mothering well, and
3. the temperaments of my husband and friends, and how to connect with them.

I am extremely grateful for the weekend. I recommend it for EVERYONE. Now, thanks to In His Image, if I am feeling lonely or emotionally zapped, I know how to fix it myself!

... I was having challenges...I saw the In His Image Workshop in my email and signed up for it because the description of the Workshop would appear to address some of the issues I was facing...The Workshop was wonderful!!! I learned so much about how The Father created me and others that I enrolled in the class for 12 weeks! Really words can't describe what happened in our class...it was divine...but I know this...I learned so much... Lisa can help others because she helped me in so many ways, and I enjoyed the people in my class, also...I am praying on furthering my education in Creation Therapy as I was informed by my classmates, "We have formed a tribe!"

We were challenged to accept ourselves, change the way we think, and if needed change our environment. In a materialistic and performance driven world, I must continually take thoughts captive and replace them with what God's word says. Romans 12:2 "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good, pleasing and perfect will." The workshop would be a toolbox and practical application for furthering my understanding of who I am in Christ. I am nothing less than a daughter of the King seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.I received great understanding of how beautiful and unique God has created each individual and temperament (with strengths and temperament weaknesses) for His glory. I think everyone would be amazed when they understand their design! How Great is our God!
