Another great review for Dr. Greene and his staff, especially Matt! Once again, we travelled 6 1/2 hours to see them for our annual appointments. We have been long time patients of Dr. Greene, over 40 years, and do not want to see any other eye doctor, so making the trip is more than worth it to us! I have been having problems with my gas permeable contacts and made the decision to switch to glasses. I told Dr. Greene what I wanted to do and he understood. He took a lot of time explaining how much my eyes have and will change due to not wearing the contacts anymore and answered all my questions. After doing my exam, he let me know they have changed a lot already which was reflected in my new prescription. I then went to see Matt about getting glasses. He and Dr. Greene talked about my situation and he then talked to me. He explained how much my cornea had already changed and that it will continue to do so for a little while longer. He said because of that, my prescription will most likely change in the next few months and also told me since it was already so different, they were not going to make my glasses as strong as they should be because it would be very drastic and I could feel very dizzy and nauseated when I began wearing them. Not wanting that to happen, I agreed. He then asked about if I could read without my contacts. I said yes, I could. I knew I will need bifocals or progressive lenses for my vision, but to save some money and since these are only going to be temporary since my eyes are still changing, he recommended single vision lenses for distance and that I take them off to read. He helped pick out frames and walked me through learning about transitions as well. He took the time to explain everything and answer my many questions since I have not worn glasses in over 40 years. I really appreciate all the time they took with me, how patient and helpful they are, and how they truly do care about their patients. Before we left, Dr. Greene came out to check and make sure I understood everything and that I was happy. I feel they went above and beyond, especially this time for me, and we will continue to drive down in order to keep Dr. Greene and his wonderful staff as our eye doctor!

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Greene's for many years and have recently moved to Georgia. However, we are not changing eye doctors since we think they are the best! My wife broke one of her contacts, a gas permeable one right before we were leaving to go on vacation. She did not have a bacskup contact or pair of glasses. Since we were leaving town the next day, we had to find someone locally to try and get her one. Of course, it happened on a Saturday. We did find someone in Georgia who was able to get her a soft lens that she could at least see somewhat out of. We called Matt on Monday at Dr. Greene's and he said he would get a new gas permeable one ordered for her and ship it to our home. It would take a couple of weeks, however. We went on vacation and it was waiting on us when we got back. Excellent service. We were just in St. Augustine for appointments and went by to thank Matt for helping. We mentioned that she needed a back up pair of glasses. He agreed, we asked how much they would be and thought we would talk to him about it when we come for eye appointments in October. He took her over to look at frames, picked out ones that looked good on her, (she didn't care since she will rarely wear them unless it is an emergency) and asked when we were leaving town. We told him the next day. He said he would call in a couple of hours and we would be able to pick up her new glasses that afternoon. He did exactly that. We thought he would have to ship them to us, but he got them done right away. You can't ask for better customer service than that. He is the best and is one of the reasons we are staying with Dr. Greene even if it is over a 6 hour drive each way!

I have been a patient at Anastasia Eye for many years. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Dr. Greene and his staff are very professional and thorough. Matt is the best optician ever! I stopped there today with an issue with my sunglasses. He fixed my problem in 10 minutes! He is very helpful and patient in selecting frames and fitting them correctly. It is always a pleasant experience at Anastasia Eye.

Best choice! The entire experience was amazing, Dr Greene gave a very thorough exam and his staff genuinely care. My fiancé has never been to the eye Dr and was so nervous, the staff made him feel at ease the entire time. Also, Matt is the man! Thanks to him my love can see that trees have leaves on them and he cannot stop smiling. Matt took the time to literally try on every frame with us and then took it a step above making sure we even had a pair today so he didn’t have to wait to see the world!! A moment we will not forget!

Wow! I just completed my annual eye exam with Dr. Greene, great as usual. Then I was turned over to Matt for new eye glasses. He is so patient, really! Super selection of frames to choose from. Matt made me feel so good and confident about my choices, he really took his time to help me pick out a pair that was flattering for my face. All the staff was easy to work with and very professional. Matt was so great and helpful picking out new frames that I was able to get two pairs and renew my old sunglasses! I expected to have my new glasses ready in about 10 days, but to my surprise they were ready after just 36 hours! I'm wearing my new glasses now and I am so happy! The prescription is just right the frames fit perfectly!
