  On the last Friday of February I was traveling through the area on my way back home across the state. I had decided to check out a very well-marketed and large gun store near the Interstate, it was more on my route. The guys in there were friendly, and the selection was fairly good. They seemed to have plenty of employees, but the guy that landed on me eventually talked me out of a purchase, whether he knew it or not. Young guy, friendly, but unable to stop lecturing me about things I mostly was already aware of, and some other things that are more opinion than fact. Always seemed to have a contradictory opinion about the viability of inviability of an option. I got worn out and decided "you're right, this isn't going to work for me". I'm not an old guy myself, nor am I young guy - in between), but I don't like having a guy 10-15 years younger than me treat me like I don't know the difference between a pump or semi-automatic shotgun. I am by no means an expert, but if I have questions, I'll ask.
  
  I decided I would drive further into town to Buck's Gun Rack, and was glad I did. The guys working in there were a little older, more laid-back, more seasoned and less preachy. I was pretty quickly greeted by Alan Eads, and I told him what I was thinking I was interested in, but then also told him I'd like to look around, first. Again, I'm glad I did. This place is a little tight, but it's jam-packed with firearms and accessories. I think it has a good deal more inventory than the other, much larger, place, or it seems that way. So, after asking some questions of Alan about things on the wall, I eventually found my way to a different type of shotgun than I was originally intending to buy. He was knowledgable and personable, but not pushy, not condescending. After I handled a couple of rifles and asked some questions about those, I ended up making an additional purchase. Prices seemed reasonable, selection is good. Accessory item prices seemed very reasonable. Alan was very accommodating, and while running me through all of the legal procedural hurdles, gave me time to handle some pistols just because I wanted to compare a couple. Came out with two large purchases and a fair bit of accessories.
  
  Very pleasant experience. Great place. Parking is tight - don't bring a horse trailer or anything. It did look like some work was going on right next to the shop, so that could have been additional parking being developed for all I know.
  
  After writing this review I did notice another review that said that Buck's doesn't allow you to conceal carry. Well, I did, and I only carry in one condition. I had no idea this was their rule, but I don't disarm myself unless I'm going into a courthouse or an airport. I actually conversed with Alan about what I was carrying, just a friendly conversation about pistol preferences. I assumed he knew I meant I was carrying right then, but perhaps we misunderstood each other. In any case, no one said anything to me about it.

  Brought in my PSE bow for warranty work when a limb broke 3 days before an out of state hunt. They ordered me a new limb and took care of all the communication with PSE so I didn’t have to. They had it express shipped and put it on in time for my hunt all while being extremely helpful and easy to deal with.

  Excellent customer service and very reasonable prices. Very knowledgeable and takes their time with the customer. Answers all your questions and is the only place to buy a fire arm. Thanks To Alan and Scott for all their help.

  I've been here on multiple occasions. I recently purchased a badge and badge holder. I will return to this store for a shotgun I had my eye on for some time now. The service is great and the employees are very approachable and knowledgeable about firearms, accessories, and the gear needed for a variety of situations.
