Elliot shamis is an awesome guy with a real life attitude and mentality. I have seen counselors since I was four years old And I would highly recommend his services to those in need of a listening ear and I would highly recommend his services to those in need of a listening ear, or for any other related counseling.
Very realistic, down-to-earth, no beating around the bush; just gets straight to the point so you have more time to acknowledge your true thoughts. My previous marriage counselor either didn't see what I could see, or didn't want to step on any toes and missed a lot of chances to say what needed to be said, and now I'm divorced. This one leaves no stone left unturned and instantly gave me a completely different outlook on my life, thus teaching me how to think for myself.
May have textbook knowledge, but he acts and sounds like a regular guy, who can relate to your problems because he's been there and done that. As they say, even psychologists need psychologists.
I don't often "talk" with people about problems, feelings, or things that don't pertain to fishing or BBQ's. With that being said, I love speaking with Elliot. It's rare to find such a down-to-earth person these days. My teenagers are much like me but they also trust him, which is rare. My kids are smart and have always 'played' counselors. When it comes to Elliot, they actually open up and many times take his advise. Thank you!
