Americas Best Value Inn & Suites

I think the place has a wonderful atmosphere and plenty to do. It's massive compared to a lot of other campgrounds. I mean, there are just so many camp sites. They even have a bike trail and horse trails. You can even bring your horse with you while camping. And the park itself, is a pretty huge chunk of property. It's a beautiful state park with a lot more to offer than you would think, with excellent staff, clean facilities, and one of the largest lakes around, if you are in Ohio, you gotta check out East fork state park.

What a wonderful place. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. There is a huge beach area. This place was happening with so many people having a great time. There is a large shelter to bbq. There was a party there today. It was a great scene. Everyone was enjoying themselves. Smell of people grilling was great. I am excited to return. Make sure to take your rafts, floats, and sand toys!

What a great state park.

Pros
The beach is nice and pretty well kept. The water is warm and people are cordial. They have a fair amount of amenities (bathrooms/showers, walking trails, shelters, etc.) the shoreline is long and offers lots of space to spread out. Lots of grass to play on as well. The hiking trails are nice and well kept. There’s an abundance of parking anywhere you wanna go in the park.

Cons
There is garbage at the hiking trail campsite I visited. The bathrooms were also a disaster there. Sad that people don’t keep them up, but if the park is going to offer them there should be some level of expectation to maintain them. There is a major tick infestation. Not the parks fault but the state is having a large issue. Hiked for 15 minutes and had 2 on my ankle I had to pluck out.

It was a little crowdy even with it being cloudy, but not too bad. Unfortunately as soon as we got in the water, we saw a dead catfish floating towards the beach and eventually land there near us. But other than it was a nice calm day.

Whenever my children's grandparents visit they stay here for a few days its a great place

We went for a 5 night stay in our motor home, very clean and quiet place full hookups doesn't include cable was the only issue but it really wasn't an issue we had a Great time meeting others and talking around the fire!! Beautiful lake to boat & fish.

I totally agree. The front desk is the glue that holds this place together. Ms Carolyn Douglas and another coworker ( I cant remember her name) was always very professional. If there were any issues she made time to resolve them. Thank you.so much for making the stay as comfortable as possible as the hotel goes through its transition.

The front desk staff are what truly make this place worth staying at. The housekeepers leave much to be desired & should be replaced, but the front desk staff definitely make up for it by caring for the needs of the customers in place of housekeeping. Marilyn & Carolyn are the best by far but everyone working the front made it a good 2 week stay for me & my daughters. I will definitely be back!
