  Brian is a fantastic teacher. I don't take guitar too seriously because I am unskilled and super busy. Brian is patient and doesn't seem to get frustrated with me at all. I will definitely stick with him for years to come. I enjoy hanging out with him unlike some of the past instructors I have tried.

  I have been taking lessons from Brian for over a year now and couldn't be happier. He is super patient, which really helps to set you at ease early on and especially when tackling something new. When explaining things, for example the theory behind a chord progression, he doesn't talk over you but brings it to your level. He has been willing to work with me on weeks where I have a conflict in our normal lesson time and has been flexible whenever he could to find an alternate time. Also, starting lessons just as a pandemic is kicking off, I was somewhat skeptical of Zoom guitar lessons but Brian makes it super smooth and easy. It hasn't been a big deal at all doing lessons via Zoom. Oh, and he's a badass on the guitar...just ask him to rock Kashmir for you...

  I started taking lessons with Brian in December. Prior to this I was having a very challenging time progressing and having a hard time advancing in terms of my understanding of musical theory. One of my primary goals was to develop a better understanding of theory. My knowledge has increased exponentially since our lessons began and I can say for the first time in a lot of years of trying I now feel confident that I am getting it. His experience, knowledge, playing and ability to explain has had a massive impact on the progress I have made. The ability to grasp some things I was having a hard time with increased my commitment to getting better and I pick up my guitar every day as a result. He is also an amazing player and that helps! I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking to learn more and become a better guitar player.

  My 7 year old has taken both guitar and uke lessons with Brian over the past year. Brian is patient, invested, kind and leans into what my son is interested in. He has hand written songs and chords, printed my sons fave songs, sent example and how to videos and has been so supportive and fun to work with. My son has developed a skill and a love for guitar thanks to Brian who has gently and thoughtfully cultivated a relationship with him (via Zoom no less). We are very happy with his progress.

  My 12-year-old has been taking lessons from Brian for 3 ½ years. During this time Brian has managed to strike just the right balance between easy-going and challenging. He always keeps my son right on track. It’s been so much fun to see him progress, playing fearlessly at school talent shows and church services, and even recently trying his hand at songwriting. Brian is always super encouraging to him and my son has told me several times how much he enjoys just hanging out with him during the lesson. In addition to giving great lessons, Brian is always right on top of schedules and payments and make-up lessons. We’re so glad that we found him!
