Ciot - Atlanta Slab Gallery

I am in the process of renovating a kitchen and have visited 12-15 slab distributors. The way it works is a little sleezy; however, please note this is not a Ciot process, this is the way it works industry wide--no prices on the slabs (just categories like one-five dollar signs or something like low mid high price). The customer asks the distributor to email the prices to fabricators and they in turn email you the price of the slab. AND, of course to be a smart shopper you need to send to more than one fabricator to compare their prices! It's pretty labor intensive to drive all around the metropolitan area and visit the distributors and ask for prices from multiple fabricators. BUT, worth it in the end to get exactly what you want at the right price.

NOW after visiting so many distributors I know how to narrow down the choices for my next marble selection. CIOT is easily the best one in the Atlanta area.To elaborate: their selection has lots of white marble which is what is the most popular right now. It is in the middle of Atlanta so very accessible for anyone working in the Buckhead or Downtown area. Jay and Jeremy are awesome--they know their slabs and will steer you towards what's in your price range (since I DID have a budget this was important). Whoever buys their slabs is an amazing buyer...easily the most beautiful slabs of anyone in town--these slabs had to be hand picked. Whoever designed this showroom, hired the staff and chose the slabs should be applauded and I am not one to give five stars lightly. Start here if you are shopping and then go compare at other distributors and you will end up back here again!

I did read a couple of other reviews and I think the person must have been confused thinking that Ciot is not transparent. The entire industry is NOT transparent. If you visit more than one fabricator, this becomes apparent. AND interior designers almost always get a discount for slabs, faucets, tile...its their industry. I get a discount on hearing aids as an Audiologist.

I worked with Jeremy Gilbreath at Ciot during my quest to find the perfect slab to use for our kitchen backsplash. To begin with, when you walk into Ciot you are greeted with smiles and an elegant entrance with counters made of beautiful stone.

When you cross the threshold to their slab showroom, the whole warehouse feels more like a high-end store you would experience in Beverly Hills. The entire showroom is immaculate with carpet runners on the floor, and the entire room is very well-lit, which is not the norm. Most showrooms are poorly lit and very industrial (translation: dirty/dusty), but not Ciot. In fact, I felt a little underdressed, because the store is that beautiful; it was like being in a really amazing boutique where everything you looked at was gorgeous and dynamic. It was a bit mind-blowing, the selection that Ciot offers. Jeremy was extremely patient and stayed with me to answer all of my questions, and I had lots of questions. It didn’t take long for me to find the perfect slab of Silverware Brown that completely took my breath away.

It took several months, and by the time we were ready to purchase the slab, they had all been bought out, BUT (and it’s a huge BUT) Jeremy had the foresight to pull one slab and save it for me. I couldn’t believe it. I was almost in tears when I heard from our builder that all the slabs had been purchased and the thought of going back to the drawing board and starting from scratch was almost too much to comprehend. Jeremy was more than a sales rep., he completely saved our project from further delays by having the foresight to pull a slab and save it for me.

Fast forward to today, and the slab is installed and it looks stunning. Everyone who comes into the kitchen remarks at how amazing the slab looks. Thank you Jeremy Gilbreath and Ciot for making the whole experience enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend Ciot for the excellent customer service and amazing selections they offer.
