It's a beautiful overlook. Great playground for children. A lot of space for them to run around. They also have beautiful swing benches to just relax while looking at the beautiful river. We walked down to the water as well where we saw people fishing ?.
After enjoying the view we also walked the trail. This is a trail that children can definitely do I would at about 6 years old. Not too long and never too steep.
Morgan Falls is a wonderful place to launch for kayaks or paddle boards. I go quite frequently and each time the water is a bit different. Sometimes it can be flat as a lake with very little current while other times it's got a fast current. All levels of skill level can enter water here as there is almost done come water by launch area.
In addition there is an abundance of wild life that you can see including Great blue heron, king fishers, and river otters.
If boating isn't your thing, the playground and the trails are amazing for being so close to the city.
There's a wonderful playground here, and a kayak rental/launch point. At a separate parking lot, there is a dog park and view of the dam and fall. The trails are not as long, but do offer some higher-elevation views of the river and surrounding area.
A cool little spot against the Chattahoochee River. I guess I was thinking it was going to be bigger. I mean it has a nice playground for the kids restrooms and that nice big chimney, but I guess would be cool on a cool night such as it is getting now Atlanta.
We took one of the hiking trails but didn't get too far it had been raining but the days before so it was kind of slippery in some places. But overall we enjoyed it.
Great park in Sandy Springs area! The playground is where we went, which was very nice! Turf grass, shaded play area, swings, and two separate play areas for older kids and smaller kids. Not so big though that I couldn't keep watch of my older children while my smaller child played. They have a really cool "spider" web to climb INTO. We didn't get a chance to walk the trails, which I would have liked.
