My daughter has been seeing therapist, Madison Peters, for a few months. Madison has been available to coach my husband and me through difficult times, when our daughter was experiencing severe depression and anxiety. She is also my daughter’s primary therapist using DBT. They formed a strong bond, which is huge, since in the past she was “anti-therapy”. I cannot recommend her enough.
40 years ago I brought my sweet but baffling ADHD son to Dr. Slayden, beside myself with his erratic, sometimes self-harmng behavior. He was always in trouble at school. My son's visits with Dr. Slayden were showing progress when, in the midst of everything, my younger son died of cancer, sending my already troubled son to the brink. Dr. Slayden shepherded my son - and me - through the turmoil of those years. Today, my son is happily married, with two darling daughters. He is a middle school teacher (karma!), He coaches track and field teams (they just took 1st and 2nd place trophies at the state level) and he has just been named Teacher of the Year by his school. Thank you, Dr. Slayden!
Dr. Betsy Gard is very down to earth and easy to talk to. I was very nervous my first visit. I had no idea what to expect. Dr. Gard was so easy to talk with! I've recommended her to several people.
Dr. Elizabeth Slayden is also very understanding, easy to talk with and knowledgeable
More than just Dr. Slayden practice here. None of the doctors take private insurance (although Dr. Lenora Ashley accepts Medicaid and Medicare), however, Dr. Ashley is phenomenal. She is empathetic, non-judgemental, kind, and incredibly helpful.
