Tender Personal Care Home has been the perfect fit for my 90 year old mother, who has dementia and other care needs. Mary and her son Daniel (who runs the Russell Road home) are caring and kind to my mother and they keep us well informed including periodically sending pictures. They conduct frequent activities and celebrations for the guests to keep them busy and engaged. We visit my mom frequently and she always looks great and she often comments about how good the food is. The facility is always clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

My Dad's dementia progressed to the point where we needed help caring for him, but we were not quite sure who to turn to. A friend recommended Tender Personal Care and after doing some research, we decided to contact them. I'm glad we did. The owners were pleasant to work with and have a deep compassion for the elderly. We are pleased with the care that Dad is receiving.

Making the decision to place a loved one in a facility can be very agonizing. Choosing Tender Personal Care Home was the best decision we could have made. We moved our 90-year-old father there a year ago. His attitude has changed from apprehensive when he first moved to being happy and more active.

The Staff:
I truly believe the owner, Mary, has an invisible halo over her head. She is very devoted to her “family” there. She knows their personality and when something is unusual, she is aware of it and immediately resolves any issues. The rest of the staff is equally caring. Like most elderly parents, our father did not want to move away from home. He had a negative attitude when he first arrived. Now, his spirits are high and he even smiles!

The Facility:
The facility there is a very spacious home. The home is always immaculate and the air is fresh and clean. Each resident has their own room. The rooms are bright and cheerful and nicely decorated. The meals served are very nutritional and a special diet is not a problem.
The residents participate in daily actives which keeps up their cognitive skills. Holidays are celebrated with beautiful decorations and festive meals.

Tender Personal Care Home has their own dedicated doctor who visits to monitor the health of the residents.

We moved Mom here a year ago from an assisted living facility. I had been checking out facilities a month prior to her being hospitalized and this was my favorite. We really feel blessed that they had a room available when we needed one, since they usually have a waiting list. They have taken exceptionally good care of Mom through her recovery and since. She loves the staff and is always telling us how well they take care of her. The home is well appointed and always neat and clean. Mary and Daniel are so friendly and welcoming, and I love that they send me pictures of Mom doing activities. You couldn't ask for a better place for your loved one.

I am a licensed massage therapist and have been working with one of the patients at Tender Personal Care Home for five years. I have always experienced a warm and loving environment and often have thought that if either of my parents were to need a facility like this, this is where I would take them. Mary and the rest of the caregivers are wonderful. The attention and care they provide to each and every individual is beyond fabulous. The facility is extremely clean and the patients are well cared for, not to mention the fact there is something always good cooking in the kitchen!!!
