Quality Inn Suwanee I-85

I travel for work and always stay at this location the staff is awesome and always accommodating. Stephanie the front desk manager is always helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is close to i85 and great dining.

Very nice budget place to stay for two days while road tripping. Obviously this is an older property as evident from the 1970's era design of the lighting, faucets, and fixtures, but everything we used in the room was clean and in good working order at the time of our stay on the second floor. There was minor damage to the room from prior occupants including a few coin sized red and yellow carpet stains that looked like they were attempted to be cleaned up at one point. Also, there were multiple dings, dents, scrapes and scrapes on the AC unit. It was a lived in look that did not deter us drastically visually (since all occupied rooms would have minor damage due to use anyways) or the ability to use the room amenities.

It was indeed a hot breakfast both days of sausage patties and egg rounds. Through both days there was a rotating assortment of flavors of muffins and mini yogurts, and a daily type of fresh fruit. The staples of sliced bread, a waffle station, 3 types of cereal, 3 types of instant oatmeal, 3 types of juice, 2 types of milk, and a selection of basic condiments (butter, jam/jelly, and pancake syrup, etc) was satisfactory to both of us verses seaking out breakfast elsewhere for $8+ per person before tip. The hours for breakfast are rather limited from 6-9am although on the second day some guests lingered in the space for up to half an hour later after the food was put away watching the news on the big screen tv and sipping their choosen beverage.

Our minor comments about no hot water or hot coffee in the hotel lobby during breakfast hours were quickly, professionally addressed and remedied immediately. Plastic utensils were also requested to be restocked in the breakfast bar which took a moment more to accomplish.

I did wonder two things about my stay. First, the in room amendies card advertises a daily newspaper delivery, but the front desk clerk never heard about this service. Instead we were offered a pair of monthly local travel magazines. Not sure if this is just a feature that was dropped due to cost cutting that was never updated or only some locations offered it. The second thing is more of an observation than a personal nit pick. In the breakfast bar on the second day instead of prepackaged muffins there was a row of oatmeal sandwiches cookies. To each their own idea of which makes breakfast enjoyable, but I thought it was an interesting choice to offer hotel guests or to make the clear shelving look full upon arrival.
