I am thankful for this office for providing mental health services. I don't believe I would be in a good place mentally or emotionally without their services. However, I have issues with the staff/nurses that are concerning and consistent. One example being that I called the office with medication questions due to recent struggles with intrusive thoughts and obvious concerns for my mental health. I recognized a decline or trigger in my thought process and behavior and reached out to the office. Kathy (who is always the kindest woman) responded to my concerns. I was not able to be worked in any sooner than my upcoming appointment but she assured me that a nurse would call me back. It's been two days and no one has reached out to me. Given that this office is for mental health I would hope they take the responsibility very seriously. I was hospitalized for my mental health sometime last year and I never want to experience that again. My point, I reached out and no one responded. Your office is generally exceptional but my health is important to me, I want to be healthy and that is why I come see your Providers in your office. Do better.

Dr. Paulsen is one of the best psychiatrists I have ever encountered. She is empathetic - genuine - and her attention to detail on her patients needs does not go unnoticed!

She individualizes care, and meets the needs of each person with tender hands. I owe my mental well being and life to this incredible woman.

Dr. Paulsen treats my son, and has always been amazing with me and my family. She is caring and attentive, and I have never felt rushed while she was with us. She takes the time to explain the treatments, and what we are to expect with different medications. That being said, because of her willingness to spend the extra time with us when we have issues or additional questions that are outside the scope of our normal appointment, there can be a slight wait when sitting for your appointment because I believe that she gives the same courtesy to her other patients that she does us. I couldn't imagine seeing anyone else, as other doctors have been rushed and dismissive.
