Very nice accommodations at a very reasonable price. The staff is beyond friendly and extremely helpful in every way. The sundries shop has a nice variety of items to purchase to make your stay better including snack items and a rather extensive beer and soft drink selection.
The Inn's location in Wahiawa, just South of Haleiwa, makes it the perfect place for visiting military members to stay that want to explore Hawaii's absolutely magnificent North Shore and all that it has to offer.
Definitely recommend.
4/5 stars. I would give it a 5 but there are a couple of things that need improvement.
One the items in the little store located in the office are overly priced. A lot of soldiers who PCS and must stay at Schofield Inn do not have access to a store to get the proper things for healthy meals. The store provides snack items, sandwiches and a few microwaveable options but again the prices are outrageous. My family and I ended up having a friend gather groceries for us to save money and broaden our variety.
The floors in the rooms are really dirty no matter the extent you go to keep them clean. We had hardwood floors, thankfully but the famous red dirt everyone speaks of is very much so a real issue.
The rooms are slightly outdated, but that’s not a huge issue.
Our room came with a wannabe kitchenette there were no supplies in it so you’d have to find a way to get these items. (Cups, plates, bowls, silverware)
The mini fridge is well, mini. The microwave is also mini.
The TV we had was a bit blurry but your eyes get use to it by day 2 and then you can’t even tell the difference
The internet was fast enough for my family, we had no issues.
Our room stayed cool, thankfully.
The Inn allowed us to borrow a crib and instead of a king size mattress we we given a room with two Queens.
There is a little courtyard outside that is fenced in, has picnic tables and some grills. It’s a nice little area if you need fresh air.
The staff were friendly. House keeping came by almost everyday to address our needs. They were polite and were eager to help.
Overall, a decent place to stay. It’s not a luxurious hotel but it takes care of all the main needs.
Unlikely that I will go back but for the time being, it served us well.
Extremely nice people who are happy to help! The rooms were just spacious enough, super super clean ! The location is central to everything on base. It's awesome! I love seeing all the cats.
