  We can’t say enough good things about MorningStar Senior Living in Boise, Idaho. They have been a godsend for our mother. Just a little background first. After Dad passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2012, Mom became very lonely and depressed. She gradually began to eat and drink less, and her health was declining. We finally decided it was time for her to make a move to a senior living facility. Having been involved with a local Alzheimer’s group, and being somewhat familiar with many of the facilities in the area, MorningStar was at the top of my list. Giving up one’s home and admitting you need more help is a very difficult decision to make, and Mom was pretty unhappy with this process. She was certain she wasn’t going to like it. I know many people have been in this situation and can relate to just how sad it can be for aging parents when they need more help.
  
  BUT, Mom has become a different person since moving to MorningStar, and we are all thrilled! She now eats three meals a day, and the food is great. She has new friends. She loves playing Bingo every day. She has happiness in her voice. She has a lovely apartment, but really doesn’t spend much time there, with so much going on and things to do. Everyone at MorningStar is so friendly—both staff and other residents. One of Mom’s early comments was “everyone knows my name!” The facility is very clean (with no weird smells) and nicely decorated. There are always fun celebrations and decorations for holidays and other events, and they even have Happy Hour on Friday afternoons! There is a monthly calendar as well as a daily sheet of fun excursions and events residents can sign up for. Shuttle vans are available for transportation as needed. There is a Bistro, a movie theatre—complete with popcorn, and a small gift shop. Each resident has a locked mailbox in a central location. There is a residents committee that meets regularly to discuss ideas, issues, etc. While Mom is currently in independent living, she can easily transition to assisted living should she need more personal care. So not only is Mom happier and living a better life, her family is thrilled knowing she is safe and enjoying herself. Visiting her is so much fun now.....if we can find her?!

  Moved my mother into this wonder facility 3 months ago. Both my mother and I are so thrilled with this community. Such caring and friendly staff starting with the Community Relations person giving invaluable information. My mother is finally happy which did not happen at her last place. Wonderful place for seniors. I highly recommend!

  We are so grateful to have found MorningStar for my folks. They are happy and thriving because they are in an atmosphere that is well run & truly cares about their residents. Huge respect for the manager, Janine, who runs a tight ship with a huge, warm heart. The entire staff is well trained and it is evident that they care and want to be there. They know the residents on a first name basis and go out of their way to help & make them feel respected. We finally found a place to call home. Thank you! The Champion Family

  There are so many amazing things about MorningStar. Food is delicious, staff is very friendly and caring, plus the residents are equally friendly. There are so many activities during the month. Life Enrichment really listens to the residents and provides activities that are not only varied but also entertaining and fun!! Plenty of games, puzzles and resident led activities as well! The Coffee Corner is a wonderful place to catch up on what's happening and share delightful treats and beverages. If you are unable to live in your own home, this is an excellent "new home"!!!

  Wow this place is nice and clean and classy...staff is super friendly and every resident I have seen is happy and appear well cared for :)
